Mira Franješević is one of the pioneers of naive art in Istria. Her paintings feature typical Istrian scenes, such as “kažuni”, dry walls, “boškarini”, balladura, picturesque Istrian villages on the hills, cypress, “brnistra”, goats, the Istrian people, song or dance, hornets… This painting was created in 1886. and it is one of 4 from the series of pictures of the four seasons. It is painted in reverse oil on glass technique and framed. It measures 18 x 23 cm without frame and 33 x 38 cm with frame. Signed in down left corner.
