Zora Matić (1923-1999) was a member of the so-called ” Rovinj art circle ” in the 50s and 60s of the 20th century and the founder and first director of the Local Museum of the city of Rovinj. New research reveal her exceptionally high-quality painting output, the so-called “second value of expressionism” in Croatia, as well as a very interesting section in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century related to the painting of existentialism and surrealism.
