19th century Viennese knife rest set of 4 pieces. A knife rest is a piece of kitchenware for resting a used knife without touching the table to prevent cooking fluids from getting onto countertops. You can see an example in our photo gallery (knife is not included in this set). Set is hallmarked with “Viennese cross-shield”, silver fineness: 800/1000. Excellent condition, items displays light age patina.
